  9. As announced at the MacApp Developer's Association meeting last week in San
  10. Jose and in the April '89 Frameworks, MacAppDA is getting a new structure that
  11. will require the election of officers and a board of directors.  I am chairing
  12. the election committee and I'm requesting your nominations at this time.
  13.  
  14. Four positions will be elected by the general membership:
  15.     President
  16.     Secretary/Vice President
  17.     Directors (2)
  18.  
  19. In addition, an Advisory Director will be selected by the President and
  20. Directors to serve with them on the Board of Directors.  This position will not
  21. be elected by the general membership but I am taking suggested names and the
  22. resulting list will be given to the Board.
  23.  
  24. The ballots will be mailed to all MacAppDA members in late June or early July
  25. and will include write-in spaces for all positions.
  26.  
  27. If you would like to nominate either yourself or someone else for any of these
  28. positions, please send me a brief (one paragraph or so) statement of the
  29. candidate's qualifications and goals, to be included with the ballot.  Use
  30. either my mailing address (below) or the AppleLink address at the head of this
  31. link.  The deadline for receipt of nominations is Monday, May 22nd.

  33. This is an excellent chance to get involved in the future of _your_
  34. association.  I haven't seen many nominations yet and the deadline is near, so
  35. do it now!
